Achievements

  • After the untimely death of her son in 2005, she took a hiatus from painting. However, she returned to her canvas in 2016, dedicating her first solo exhibition, What I Talk About When I Talk About Life, to his memory. This exhibition featured over 40 acrylic and mixed-media works addressing pressing social issues such as child marriage, migration, climate change, and political unrest .
She holds both BFA and MFA degrees from the University of Dhaka. Subrana's artistic journey has been deeply personal, marked by profound loss and resilience
