Born in 1956 in Dhaka, Bangladesh; a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. Naima has presented solo exhibitions at Alliance Française de Dhaka and Bengal Shilpalay, and participated in national group shows for over two decades. Alongside her studio practice, she works in curation and arts education, mentoring younger artists and fostering inclusive platforms for dialogue.A versatile visual artist celebrated for her finely detailed pencil and graphic works that bridge painting and illustration.

Pencil artworks explore Bangla alphabets, environment

Artist Naima Haque depicts Bangla alphabets, nature and others through pencil works displayed in her solo exhibition under way at Gallery Chitrak at Dhanmondi in the capital.The exhibition titled Chhande Barne is the fourth solo exhibition of Naima Haque. It has been is curated by artist Nasim Ahmed Nadvi.The artist has displayed 43 artworks, which have been mostly created using pencil from 1976 till present day, in the exhibition.
