Ahmed Nawaz

Ahmed Nawaz

📍 Dhaka, Bangladesh

A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka, Nawaz has emerged as a multidisciplinary artist working across drawing, textile, painting, and poetry. Rooted in lived experience, his work navigates the thresholds of identity, desire, and soft resistance. His exhibitions, performances, and zines have drawn attention for their tenderness and subversion.

Achievements

  • Nawaz’s forms are fluid—veiled figures, fragmented anatomy, floral wounds—crafted in pastel tones, lace, thread, and handmade dye. Drawing from queer poetics, South Asian rituals, and autobiographical myth, his work is as raw as it is careful. He transforms vulnerability into visual meditation.
